Despite the simplified task to enlarge commercial area of the bus terminal, we aimed to solve the major city planning problems - reopen access to the waterfront, eliminate the chaos of the existing traffic network, create new connections between Old City and Market area. With a respect to Georgs Minc's modernistic icon - the central building of bus terminal - all new additions are seperated visually, but connected functionally - the underground car park with the shopping gallery, new landmark - light rail building and the brand new multimodal terminal in a place of existing railway bulwark.
