Located at intersection of five busy streets, the building responds to the surroundings with its asymmetric volume. Miera street with its busy tram stop requires additional public space, but picturesque landscape of Dailes square reflects at perforated facade of Šarlotes street. That's where the traditional rhythm of Riga Art Nouveau buildings transforms into airy modernity. To keep the close link between both facades and both streets, the green courtyard with passage for pedestrians is created in between.
To make the most of the building's use, we followed the rule of the flexible space. All the communication shafts and staircases are located within the heart of the building. That allows create spots open spaces through the whole building. Space can be left open, divided into two, three or more offices - all of them with access to the central core and daylight.
